LEGAL — POPIA
Privacy Policy.
This policy explains how DRMR Digital ("DRMR Digital", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares and protects your personal information when you visit drmr-digital.co.za or contact us. We are committed to processing personal information lawfully and responsibly in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa.
Last updated: 16 July 2026 · Effective immediately
01 Who we are (Responsible Party)
DRMR Digital is the "responsible party" for the personal information described in this policy.
- Business: DRMR Digital (Registration No. 2026/268006/07)
- Location: South Africa (GMT+2)
- Email / Information Officer: [email protected]
- WhatsApp / Phone: +27 68 937 1239
02 What information we collect
We only collect information that we need. This includes:
- Information you give us through our contact form or by emailing/messaging us — your name, company name (optional), email address, the service you are interested in, and the contents of your message.
- Technical information automatically logged by our web server for security and reliability — such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps. These logs are kept to detect abuse and keep the site online.
- No advertising or tracking cookies. This website does not use marketing, analytics or third-party tracking cookies, and does not build advertising profiles about you.
03 How we use your information
We process your personal information only for the purposes for which you provided it, namely to:
- respond to your enquiry, answer questions and provide a quote;
- deliver, support and manage services you engage us for;
- keep our website secure, available and functioning correctly;
- comply with our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
04 Legal basis for processing
Under POPIA we rely on one or more of the following justifications to process your information: your consent (which you give by submitting the contact form or contacting us), the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, and compliance with the law. You may withdraw consent at any time (see section 9).
05 Third parties who process data for us
To run the website and respond to you, limited information is handled by trusted service providers ("operators" under POPIA):
- Contact-form delivery (FormSubmit). When you submit the contact form, the details you enter are transmitted through FormSubmit, which forwards them to our email inbox. If you prefer not to use this route, you can email us directly at [email protected].
- Web fonts (Google Fonts). Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers and your IP address is visible to them for that request. No cookies are set by us for this.
- Hosting & infrastructure. The site runs on infrastructure managed by DRMR Digital and its hosting/network providers, protected behind a secure delivery layer.
We only share what is necessary for these services to work, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
06 Cross-border transfer
Some of the operators above (such as FormSubmit and Google Fonts) may process data on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, POPIA requires that the information receives a comparable level of protection. We limit such transfers to what is necessary to operate the website and respond to your enquiry.
07 How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and, where you become a client, for the duration of our working relationship plus any period required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). Security logs are kept only for a short period. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
08 How we protect your information
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information against loss, unauthorised access, or disclosure. These include encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted access, security headers, patched and monitored systems, and backups. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep risk low.
09 Your rights under POPIA
As a data subject, you have the right to:
- be told what personal information of yours we hold and to request access to it;
- request that we correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date or unlawfully obtained;
- object to processing and to withdraw consent where we rely on it;
- not receive unsolicited direct marketing; and
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (see section 10).
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
10 Complaints — the Information Regulator
If you believe we have not handled your personal information lawfully, you may contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to South Africa's supervisory authority:
- The Information Regulator (South Africa)
- Email (complaints): [email protected]
- General enquiries: [email protected]
- Website: inforegulator.org.za
11 Children's information
Our services are aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect the personal information of children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always published on this page with its "last updated" date. Material changes will be made clear here.
